Northern Trails
Rooted in Americana, 90s Britpop and Swedish indie pop tradition, Northern Trails has a way of presenting timeless melancholic melodies in traditional pop and rock costumes decorated with genre-crossing pearls.
Northern Trails aims to make music that is immediate and catchy, but at the same time interesting and unexpected.

Northern Trails has new music planned for release from the winter of 2025 to the summer of 2026, but released five singles and an EP in 2023 – 2024. Below you will find a discography of all releases.

About Northern Trails
Northern Trails was formed in Uppsala, Sweden in May 2022 when Christer Tinnerholm and Thomas Isberg agreed to focus at little less on ultra running and more on pop music. Together with friends Per Larsson och Ulf Eklund they put Hearts Went Frozen EP on tape and released it in November 2023. Thomas Strömbom enjoyed the single AQ on the radio and asked the band if they needed a keyboard player. Northern Trails has ever since performed as a quintet.
In 2024 and 2025 the band released a couple of singles and performed some of their best live shows – amongst other the West Wind Festival show at Katalin Jazzbaren in Uppsala.
New material has been recorded and is scheduled for release from winter 2025 to summer 2026. Northern Trails is ready to take the next steps towards a bigger audience.
